In 1971 Omiros was asked to decorate a Byzantine Orthodox Church. The murals as well as the paintings which the artist had executed until 1970 were worked in an abstract style. But for the decoration of a Byzantine Orthodox Church, Omiros felt that a representative style was neccessary.

Omiros went on to create a stunning and exhaustive revival of Byzantine religious art with a modern perspective.

This amazing book depicts and retraces Omiros' conceptual representation of iconographic art.
