Omiros' comments on his work on Mechanics

The thinking processes are the most intricate and complex known events that proceed according to strict mechanisms. During its expressive development, the abstract thinking may adopt a variety more concrete and figurative forms. However, the underlying mechanisms are omnipresent. Whether functional or dysfunctional, the processes constantly obey mechanistic rules. Omiros dedicated a series of paintings to this concept of Mechanics which depicts the underlying presence of mechanisms even in the most abstract forms of expression. One can perceive in each of these paintings the wheels, sprockets and springs behind the all too apparent clouds of colors.
